Today was the first day of pre-conference workshops at the ISAAC 2016 Conference in Toronto, Canada. I love the ISAAC Conference – and being a part of the fabulous world AAC Community – so it was a very exciting day for me.
First up this morning, I attended a workshop by Carole Zangari from PrAACtical AAC and Chris Bugaj from AT Tips Cast on “AAC Practitioners in the 21st Century: Leveraging Our Efforts through Social Media and Digital Technologies”. During this presentation Carole and Chris repeatedly discussed the use of social media for professional networks, sharing, learning and coaching – and, of course, reading! One of their often repeated phrases was “share it with the world” and in that spirit (which I strongly believe in) I’m sharing my pre-conference workshop information from the afternoon session.
The focus of my pre-conference workshop was on Apple apps for AAC – for the iPad and iPhone – and what has been happening in this space in AAC. You can view the Prezi below and click here to download the handout.
Looking forward to seeing lots of you at ISAAC – and if you can’t be there, you can follow along in Twitter using #ISAAC2016!
